INAUGURATION OF HAI ANH WIND POWER PLANT (40MW) IN QUANG TRI PROVINCE

On August 19, 2025, the Inauguration Ceremony of the Hai Anh Wind Power Plant (capacity of 40MW) was successfully held in Lao Bao Commune, Quang Tri Province. Invested by Hai Anh – Quang Tri Wind Power Joint Stock Company, this project is one of Vietnam’s notable transitional wind power projects.

Notably, this is the first wind power project in Vietnam to apply the JCM of the Government of Japan, marking a significant milestone in international cooperation for renewable energy development.

Project Highlights

Within a short construction period, the project completed a large volume of critical works, including:

• Groundfilling work of approximately 1 million m³ of soil and rock.
• 10 km of internal roads.
• 08 wind turbine foundations.
• A 35/110kV – 40MVA substation and 3.38 km of 110kV transmission line.
• A 22kV underground cable system with a route length of about 7.0 km.
• Installation, test run, and commissioning of 08 wind turbines.

Overcoming Challenges – Ensuring Quality

The inauguration not only marks the project’s commercial operation but also recognises the persistent efforts of engineers, workers, supervision consultants, and contractors. Despite challenging mountainous terrain, harsh weather, and numerous external uncertainties, the entire construction process was carried out with discipline, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion.
